What is the purpose of the masterclass?

Short bio of the facilitator
Cobus is the Dean of Postgraduate Business Programmes at Boston City Campus. His areas of specialisation are Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Strategy, with keen interests extending into the areas of technology, innovation, complexity, philosophy, ethics, artificial intelligence, futures studies, neuro-philosophy, and practical wisdom. His research focus is on leadership cognition, mental modalities, and neuroplasticity to enact peak leadership performance. Hence, his mission is to help leaders cultivate, amplify, and align the requirements for producing the intellectual character needed to effectively navigate the complex, chaotic, and unpredictable times we live in.
He contributes regularly to popular press, presented papers at academic conferences, published refereed journal articles, contributed book chapters, and act as reviewer for a number of academic journals. He also supervises master’s and doctoral students, and serve as external examiner for master’s and doctoral dissertations for various local and international business schools. He is a member of the Southern Africa Institute for Management Scientists (SAIMS) and an endorser to the Responsible Research in Business Management (RRBM) initiative. He serves on the conference board of the International Business Conference (IBC), and is also a member of the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) Africa Chapter Steering Committee. In April of this year, Cobus received the Morné Mostert award for Futures-related PhD (Title: “A 4IR Integrated intelligence Taxonomy and Measurement Framework for Top Management.”). Cobus holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and a PhD in Leadership (Futures).
